He should be able to tell by looking at the tune (the IFR for a vac ref'd GM setup has all one value, while the non-vac ref'd setups have multiple values).
You can look in your engine bay and tell also -- pop the hood and look on the DS rail roughly in the middle. If you see a little mushroom shaped gizbot with a vac line coming off the top, you have one. I believe only the return fuel systems have them.
