Default Fuel Pump Help/starting?

oK, i was driving my truck down the hgihway in kentucky(im active duty navy) and it starts to bucking and acting all crazy. it looses all power. and im like dang i think my fuel pump just went out. i set on the side of the road for 2 hours waiting on AAA tow truck.
the truck would start but it would only run for like 15 seconds.
so i hop in the tahoe and drive to va. back to base.
well my uncle goes to put my HP fuel pump in that i got from Nelson perf. and he saud i cant figure it out. so im just going to put a stock one in. so im like thats cool i just need the truck running so my wife can drive it..
so he puts it in and the truck still wont run.
if you let it set for a while it will run for like 20 seconds and then it shuts back off. but if you check the fuel pump it will shoot fuel all ove r the floor he says. could it be soemthign else. or maybe i need a new PCM? any help would be great. thanks larry

Fuel filter? What kind of pressure are u gettin at the fuel rail? Also, maybe a ground on the pcm? I had a problem like this after I changed my ignition cylinder, had to do a key re-learn, I duno why it would do that outa the blue tho.. or going down the road.
