Default Fuel Pump help

So this is my first time ever trying to replace the fuel pump. I went ahead and checked the connections for power before going off to buy a new pump and found that i only had power to one wire. I traced back the wire underneath the truck and didnt find anything unusual or messed up. Also checked fuses and they all seem to be good. Any ideas what can be up with this power problem?

I'm guessing that your electrical experience is mainly with alternating current.

Grey wire- power, Black wire ground. Load check with a test light not a multimeter.

Do not worry about the purple and orange wires.
