Question New

hey, so I'm new here and the new owner of a 2004 regular cab short box chev 4x4 with a 4.10 and a 5.3. I was wondering what you's would suggest for the easiest way to get power out of the truck? thanks

Welcome!.....Easiest way to get power is to read, read, and read all of the old threads on this site...or you could start with intake/exhaust/lt headers/custom tune

intake, exhaust, long tubes, and a custom tune is a great way to start

oh, the truck already has exhaust on it. I take it a custom tune isn't a programmer/chip you can get anywhere

No its not. look over to the left at the sponsors. Nelson tuning and wheatley see to be two of the best along with blackbear. Do some searching. You will find tons of great combos and proven results.

Consider yourself very lucky to have factory 4.10s.

A custom tune would be a good start. Blackbear Performance will make your truck faster than a rocket ship.

Higher stalling torque converter will also do wonders. The stocker is quite pathetic.

You guys are mostly telling 04-4x4 the cheapest way to make power, not the easiest.
I think that the easiest way would be to drop it off at someplace that installs forced induction, with the bed full of money.
