Coming home from work last night my truck starts stuttering and missing. Thinking it was my tranny I drop each gear one by one and its fine. While in first gear, I go WOT and on the shift to second there is a loud BOOM under the truck. So I am now thinking the cats are plugged or something. Well my truck shut off and when I restarted it, it sounded like it had a wild cam. When I would try reving the engine it, would just stutter and shut off. We checked the pressure of the fuel and figured it was that but I aint sure. A buddy of mine said it could be the fuel module of some sort. Any one have an opinion on this? What is the best fuel pump to go with at reasonable price?
