Default Friend is getting a whole lot of stuff at once...

My friends truck is a 01' EC 5.3 w/ 3.73s. So far, all he has is a Magnaflow bullet muffler and a turndown. He just finished up ordering some new toys:

TT3000
ASP crank pulley
B&M 24k trans cooler
918 springs
Thunder pushrods
Rollmaster double roller timing chain
custom cam to be ordered from TR next week (218/222 .581/.581 115+4)
LS1 Edit

I think that is all. Looking for some electric fans. Corvette servo is going to be ordered, as well. All this and the stock intake. This should be a nice difference. I predict wheel spin and wheel hop to be a problem on the stock ATs.

That's a lot of shiz, man. I hope he does one thing at a time though, that way when something goes wrong he can pin point the problem. I did my fans, intake, cam, and stall all this summer. It was pretty much all at once I guess, but I put about 2weeks in between each mod.

He needs to change the intake though, that should be one of the first things to do! It's like watching a marathon runner breath through a straw.

We'll probably do the engine stuff a week apart from the tranny work.

I think he ordered a 160* stat too.

We were just planning on doing the Corvette intermediate servo. He doesn't want it to shift any harder than stock, and we probably aren't up for a shift kit install. Do you guys recommend the billets? Money is a pretty big issue.

What Do Yall Think About The Corvette Servos I Work At A Dealership So It Would Be Easy To Get And Get Them Put In But Our Tranny Guy Said I Need To Replace The Sun Gear And Take The 5 Clutches Out Of 3-4 And Put 8 Smaller Ones He Said It Would Hold Better (and A Shift Kit)
