Mike, you get another chevy truck? I remember you old truck in highschool, it looked kickass, and I heard it was pretty quick.
Everyone is right, any free mods you can do to a LS1, you can do to the trucks, same with all the other mods, huge selection of aftermarket parts.

BTW, I'm Shanna's brother, I'm pretty sure you know who I am.

I forgot about this post! I think i remember who you are. The old black truck from HS was alright for the times but mega slow compared to today. How is your sis i havent seen her i quite a while.

No i didnt buy this truck im posting for a friend.

Could you run a 218/224 Cam in the 4.8? The cam is out of a LS1.

definatly Mike....it would have a rough idle but nothing a hole in the throttlebody couldn't help...it could definatly be made to work fine. go for it.

ok, im new, so take it easy on me. what tb bypass do you speak of? and mess with the intake how? its like learning engines all over again with these things...

TB bypass is a simply a redirection of the coolant flow that goes through the TB.

You just connect the hose that takes coolant into the TB to the hose that carries it out from the TB and bam, no more hot *** coolant in the TB.
