Sounds like an F-Body cam, not a truck cam....they can spin up to 6800-7000 to take advantage of the power curve, but with a truck, I think you'd be missing out on a lot. Getting an appropriate stall to match the cam and going from 4500-6000 all the time doesn't sound that enjoyable to drive around town. Is this your daily driver?

EDIT: misread the numbers on the cam, thought it was 234/237....this one might be okay if you get a high enough stall, probably a TT3000 or greater.

i had one like that in a 351 ford scared the crap out me every time it rained.
tires always wanted to break lose and pull to the side, did a few dounuts when i did not want too, it did not take much to make them bark in all 3 gears, you may have to do what i did and add a little weight over the tires to make them grip better because of the lite rear end.

I think it's gonna make good power, but your going to have to spin the **** out of the motor. It's gonna prolly still be pulling up around 7k and not yet peaked. If you're running the 3" pulley, that's going to put the blower turning at somewhere close to 18k, about 4k more than it's rated at and 2 more than what's deemed safe.

I'm sorry I backed out on the deal ... but that's the very reason I did. I would bet you could sell that one in the f-bod section or even trade for a more well suited one.
