Default forced induction guys

Iam currently tryning to decide which is the best route for me, supercharged, sts, or front mount. my goals are for 500 rwh will decent budget to work with. its rcsb. my idea was a sts, cam, stall. could i see these numbers. on a stock 5.3. or would it stress the engine to much.

well pretty much what ever i want to put into it i guess. i kinda want to take the 5.3 as far as it will go, as i build up a 6.0. i was just curious if it was doable looking at sts site i dont think so maybe more towards 400- 450, on the stock 5.3. an thats pushing it. iam just lookin at my options, any idea just through them out there.

Sounding like you want to max it out and plan on upgrading later i'd say turbo. Trickperformance makes a killer budget front mount kit i'd look into.

Fabing it yourself is much cheaper especially if you don't use stainless piping. I'd recommend mild steel. It is more durable in resisting cracking, easier to work with and is cheaper. You can get universal aluminum tubing kits off ebay dirt cheap as well as good knock-off intercoolers. You can have $300 in intake piping, intercooler and good clamps and couplers. Get mandrel bent pieces of steel off ebay or summit for the exhaust as well as flanges and flex couplers. A good wategate is $150-250, BOV $150, and turbo depending on model and size for $800-$1500 roughly. It can all be done for under $3000 easily.

THats what i was figuring. iwas looking at the j bends and right angles from summit, and jegs. and it looks like they would work great for me. i also only plan on doing the passenger side header. i already have two brand new turbo clamps, and band clamps, from were i work. i work for a city garage and can get all kinds of turbo pipeing, and have all kinds of machines at my disposal. what do you reckon the biggest turbo would work on the 5.3, with upgraded fuel system of course.

also i found this on ebay what do you think,http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3-TOP...QQcmdZViewItem

That intake tubing kit is something similar to what I used. You really need to talk to a turbo guru for sizing but I wouldn't consider running more than a 70-72mm turbo on a street appl 5.3. The 60-1 is a cheap turbo that works pretty well as well as the gt67 being a step up.

Funny, mine is still running 51,516 miles. I guess the Radix is better than a turbo
