I like that location alot, but you gotta move the A/c condensor and move the radiator. I don't think you can pull that off without e-fans easily and the intake pipes hitting the fan shroud. I also don't like the idea of the radiator being blocked off like that, but the fmic sure is in a decent location for cooling.

The lower valence does look like it can get blocked off my the smaller opening, but it has been proved to be very suffiecient... 62* intake temps on the freeway on 8psi

How did you move the radiator and resecure it? Do you have a tranny cooler up front? If so where is it mounted?

You could always get an hd valance that has the middle open.

Thats a possibility. Id rather not have to buy more stuff as the 16K check I had to cut to get my new house knocked me back a bit. If moving the radiator isnt too difficult and I can find a place to put my rather large tranny cooler, Id rather go that route.

Ive started doing some fitment measurements and figuring out where to mount the piping. It looks like the FMIC will fit behind the grille with very little extra work. Im not sure where Im going to mount the tranny cooler though. Im also wondering how a big FMIC is going to affect the cooling through the radiator.
I still need to get some practice with the welder though .

Well I have a FMIC that cover the radiator completely and that blower that produces an *** load of heat and my motor is staying cool and thats with a TH400 so it cruises around at 2200+ RPMs. So it wont be a problem I dont believe. Have you seen my FMIC??? If not I will get some pics for you to get an idea. Its not hard or anything. I didnt even move the radiator back, but I dont have the condensor anymore since I dont have A/C. My tranny cooler is behind the bumper where the stock ATI intercooler would be. It works, but not very good so I would not recomend it unless you have no other options like me.
