I have flowmasters on an 01 GMC. Sounds great. Has a little too much noise inside the truck. The muffler is in the stock location. O yeah, mine is the king cab. I do not know what it sounds like on a reg. cab. Only advice is turn up the radio and nail it!!!

I have 2.5" true dual '40s with an x-pipe on my old truck ('94 Silverado), but Flowmaster came out with a new muffler called the Super 40. I was wondering if anyone knew how well it flowed because i was thinking of changing my '68 Nova with glasspacks to the Super 40 if it was worth a hoot.

Was never really a flowmaster fan. Go to www.quickflowmufflers.com and tell me what you think. They flow really well and sound awesome. I think you'd like it.

I recognize that the glasspacks don't flow that well, but my engine building budget was running short at the time, and it was the only thing i could afford that was louder than hell. Now, it is time for some change.

I'm curious! How well do you think they flow comparitvely , how do they sound on your 5.3, and how loud are they? for comparison, how would it compare to a dual outlet 40 series on a 5.3L truck (easy way to compare i guess)? I always like unique products on my vehicles. If the quickflows are the real deal I might put them on my 5.3 too. you wouldn't happen to have a sound clip would you?

I have dual 3'' center inlets with 3" tubing from the headers back with an "h" pipe; turned down and out after the axle. The guy who invented the muffler put them on. I just happen to know him really good. I'm pretty sure they have a sound clip on the site. If your gonna race it, the center inlet will be better. If you just want aftermarket, try the offset. They both sound awesome. How loud they are on the inside depends on how they are ran out the back. a turn down will be loud in the cab. If you wanna call him, I can give you his number and he'll tell you everything you wanna know. That's no problem!
