Default Flowmaster Mufflers

Hi i am going to get a flowmaster duel exhaust for my 99 1500 z71. There is two option for mufflers. 1) The 50 series suv performance series. 2) The 70 Series Big block 2. I would like a loud and deep throaty sound. Does anyone know which one is better.

Yeah the magna flow is better. Why just out of curiosity are you getting flowmasters? They are some of the worst performing mufflers out there.

everyone here is gonna say don't go w/Flowmaster, as they're not the best for freeing up HP. BUT, I have Flowmaster, and could care less about the minute gain in HP by using another muffler. I have a Super 40, which exits in front of the right rear tire, and its pretty loud- in the cab and outside. Its still on the quiet side at idle, but it has a nice rumble to it that'll get heads to turn at stoplights. And when you step on it its very loud!

show me real proof and not a listing of a big block truck muffler that was tested against car mufflers in a mustang mag shoot out!!!!!!

untill i see real fawking proof, no need to preach that nonsense. if they were so good why do they have such bad customer service?

heres words of advice........dont believe the hype

also he asked about flowmasters, he didnt ask for an opinion of someone about another brand of muffler

I Have A 40 Series 3" Inlet Dual 2 1/2 Outlet Dumped Right Past The Cab With No Cats, And It Has That Throaty Muscle Car Sound... I Like It Despite All The Bad Hype About Flowmaster..... Like Said Above, The 70 Is Going To Be Quieter Than The 50.....

I,ve got the 50 on my truck. not the suv the regular one. It sounds ok with no cats (not sure if you plan to run them or not) not loud enough for me though. I've got a 3" in/out spintech on the living room floor waiting to go on next.

dont want to get into the flows vs everyone else battle, but why do you need proof? all one needs is a little common sense.

heres the inside of a flowmaster muffler:

and a picture of the inside of the magnaflow muffler i have for sale:

hmmmmmm. which one flows better? i think ill need some flow numbers

but, the author of the trhead didnt mention anything about picking up power but wants some sound. the super 40 sounds badass
