Flowmaster muff on my truck....
#21
If you want it deeper and louder dump it out the the back of the muffler. I have a 30 series dumped and it sounds great. Dumping it makes it about a quarter to a third louder.
Flowmaster would not have the same reputation as they have always had if there products were junk.

The truck has to sound right first, make power second.

I baselined my truck last week with no mods, ran it 3 times. The only change I have made so far is the muff, and I am going to take it to the track this week and see what happens. I figure no gain, but if I do great. But now that the muff is on, I am glad I went with the Flow, as to me it is the best sounding muff out there. My truck is VERY consistent at the track, so I will be able to tell if I pick up the slighest bit. Temp will be alot hotter this week as opposed to when I went to the track last week, so i will have to account for that, but i will post my results as soon as I have them.
Plus, I need to get 50 posts so I can get on the Classified section

Back what up? I am trying to make this truck fun for me, not to compete in. I have raced and competed in Fun Ford Weekend since '92 ( I held the Street Stock ET and MPH record in '92 and '93) and stepped up to Outlaw in 96. I have my race car for the "backing it up" and my street car as well. This is my daily driver that just needs a little more personality, a little personal touch, and the Flowmaster adds to it.

Man, getting closer to 50 posts!!!!!!

Well first of all, congrats on the flowmaster. I do love the way they sound, although I would have gone 40 series. Anyways, the flowmaster will be better than stock as far as performance. I was just disappointed with it going from magnaflow to flowmaster.
Sorry I didn't get up there at BW3's Friday night, had something come up.
