The flowmaster sounds really good on these motors. I was running a single in/single out. I actually loved the sound, but I had switched from a magnaflow to the flowmaster and lost a ton of low end. I liked the sound, but hated the performance of the flow.

We still need to hook up so you can hear my dual bullets. I think that you would probably like the sound, its about the closest thing I've heard to the flowmaster. I'll hopefully be installing my cutouts next weekend.

We are headed up there @ 9:00-9:30. My sister gets off work @ 9:00, and we are headed up there after that (she works at Baybrook Mall) Wll, I am looking at Flowmaster 53056 or 943051. Clear Lake Speed has a killer price on the muff, and they have the 53056 in stock, so I am going to head up there in the morning probaly and pick that one up. If I do not like it, I can always put it on my work van!!!!

I got not performance gain with the flowmaster, now with the cats off its just too raspy sounding and lots of resonance. I think with just a catback they sound good but as soon as you start modding its better to go with a different muffler.

I picked up .2 and 3 mph going from a 40 series flowmaster to the 22" single in dual out magnaflow. It's much quiter and helps with the "sleeper" effect.

Thanks for the tips and info guys, much appreciated. But, I am looking for more noise than performance. I have my car for my performance needs. I just am trying to make some changes to the truck becasue I can never leave anyhting stock. I plan on adding the muff, air intake, and a cam and calling it done. But the insight is much indeed welcomed!

Well, got her on. Man, I love that Flowmaster sound....Music to my ears!! I went with the 53056. 50 series 3" 3 chamber offset inlet, center outlet. Airfilter next, then cam, then tune. And I will be set. I figure I should be @ 350 Flywheel HP which will be perfect.
