Talking It Fits!!!- New Intercooler 56K BEWARE!!

Got my new intercooler today, eBay special. 12x24x3 core. Took a couple of hours to get installed. I removed the lower bumper valance to make it easier. I had to cut one pipe and rotate it, used one old hose to make 2 couplings, and make 4 new brackets. The intercooler had some thraded mounting bosses, which helped a lot. It is mounted with the bottom of the intercooler level with the bottom of the valance. I am going to make an air scoop for it as soon as I get some time. Here are some pics.

Just make sure to keep it free of bugs. I just got back from a 4,000mile trip, and mine was half full of dead bugs!

Looks Great! Are you going to use a piece of rubber as a dam or some type of scoop proper? Will you loose some boost due to the larger area or are you just going to put a smaller pulley on it and let it rip? Give us some #'s

Right on man!!

Looks good. Good to hear it was pretty easy to install. It's basically the same OBX the rest of us are running. It was $275 or $300?

Lets us know your IAT differences and if you do any power testing.

It was $170 plus $45 shipping, so $215 shipped. Im sure it is some imported job, but it looks pretty decent.
I am going to make a scoop out of sheet metal, maybe 1" deep in the back slanting down to about 3" deep in the front with the sides of it covered. I dont know if I will see a prssure drop compared to the old one, maybe some due to colder temps. It does look to be more restrictive though since there is less tubes, but they are much longer. The tanks on the old one were 18", the new ones are 12" so I imagine there might be a restriction there. I had 380rwhp before. I have added a 160 stat, the new intercooler and am going to do E-fans and a new intake system for the blower since the current one sits right over the headers. Hoping for over 400 the next time, maybe more with a new tune.
I am still considering some 6.0 heads and a cam plus more boost. I think with a combo like that I could get close to 500rwhp. Maybe, what do you guys think?
