Default First time at the drags

Well, I finally went out and raced my truck for the first time ever. I've never raced before in my life. It was pretty damn hilarious - I was nervous as hell, took about 10 minutes to stage, and had a reaction time of 1.298 seconds. lol! My 60' time was 2.391 (I even cheated and put it in 4x4), and my 1/4 was 16.025 @86.54 mph. I couldn't tell where the track ended, either... Pretty damn embarrassing, but I'm still laughing. It was fun. I guess you gotta start somewhere.

I don't think John Force has anything to worry about yet, but I'm gonna try again next week...

It is a blast. My first time, it was an 1/8th mile track. I heard a comment from a buddy that I was out running laps! I did run it quite a few times though.

You have an excab?

No, I have a 99 regular cab short box (I had put my specs and mods in my signature, but it doesn't show up when I post). I had a full tank of fuel, too. I pretty much did everything wrong! lol! It's about 74 degrees with 82% humidity - I don't know if those are good racing conditions or not. I was looking at the fastest truck list and I'd be right near the bottom. I still had a blast! I think next time, I'll try running laps, too!

Yeah it's fun! Everyone is nervous their first run. I was the same way about not knowing where the turnoff was, so i at least got the second turnoff and didn't hit the sand My right foot was twitching my first run ever i remember

Out of curiosity, do you guys think I would've run faster if I left it in 2 wheel?
