Default First hand Experience?

Alright I have a 2000 6.0 liter that I am going to be mating with my 4l60e tranny this coming week what exactly is the problem? I know the crank is 4.some odd longer but where does this come into effect? torque convertor to back of tranny case? transmission completlety not bolting up?

thanks in advance
Will

I think that you can use an early model '98 or so Z28 LS1 flat flywheel with dual converter bolt patterns to make things work.Late model trucks flywheel look concave and the flat flywheel would make up the .40" difference.Or you could probably redrill the bolt pattern to a 4L80E flywheel or have a custom converter built.

no it will all bolt up. just remember that the verter when mounted in there must not pull out more than about 1/8 or 3/16 to meet the flywheeel. i used a 2002 6.0 flexplate and spacer. if you have the longer crank then you might not need the spacer. everything else bolts right up. well except the darn crossm, ember. i used a 2500hd member and drilled the frame. but it does stick doen some. i am going to redo that later this year when i lower her down an inch or two.

I am wanting to stay with my 4l60. Are you talking about the same thing?
