Default First Dyno Run

hey all - finally put the truck on the dyno today. was suprised, pleasantly, at the results. started the baseline pull at ~3500 and the truck went lean for about 500rpms, 15:1 according to their WBO2, then came down and went fat pig rich at 10:1. we were hoping we could raise the WOT up to around the point where the AFR came back down in hopes the pull would start with a better AFR, but the lean followed the WOT point. so we decided against the 3rd pull until i can get the tune tweaked a little.

what do you guys think of the initial numbers? 318-TQ 289-HP. also it was 97* and 33% humidity today in the dyno room.

any ideas on what the initial lean and fat rich afterwards might be. my generic datalogger shows a delay on PE for a second or so after WOT. hoping to get 320-325-TQ and 300-310-HP after tweaking the tune. think it's possible.

http://bigdogfrank.koehlerpro.com/images/dyno%20run.jpg sorry about the quality. the red line is a little hard to see.

Theres a PE delay in the stock 02 truck tune, not sure about 04. That needs to be changed to 0.

I think it's great. It makes me not doubt what my truck was putting out N/A and is giving my even more hope of what the new N/A combo will do.

Good work. Now get the tuning ironed out and lets see what she can do.

if you havent removed the cats thats were your leaving alot of power on the table. Guys have seen around 15rwhp just from no cats. If your still runnin a ypipe there is also power in refabing it.

If you remove the cats, be sure to turn off COT(cat overtemp protection). That could be part of your rich problem as the pcm adds fuel to cool off the cats.

i cut the cats just for the WBO2 pulls and thought about the COT after i posted last night. i talked to jason at tsp today and told him what was up, and shipped out my ecm to him along with the dyno printout and my datalogging of the runs. i'm confident he'll git 'er done.
