Default first chevy

this is my first chevy ever and so far i like it. 2002 ext cab z71, what are some cheap performance upgrades? I thought I read a stock ls1 intake from a car will help? things similar to this. What about suspension? Do they make aftermarket chevy keys or does everyone use ford keys?

Any help will be appreciated and i am sure i will have a lot of questions.
Thanks in advance

First...WELCOME !!!!

Second...USE THE SEARCH BUTTON, it's your BEST FRIEND on here (and will keep everyone friendly towards you as well)

And...your answers:

* The car intake is a pretty easy swap....SEARCH for "LS6 intake swap" or "LS1 intake swap" and you find out more than you've ever wanted to know

* Pretty much everyone uses the Ford keys (at least those members on here that have lifted trucks)
