Thumbs down Finally went to the track...

I wasn't very pleased with my times. My best run was a 13.10@103 w/ a 1.89 60ft. I'm having some traction issues though. My truck starts to launch from side to side. On my first run I roasted all 4 tires and pulled a 2.3 60ft. I think I still may be having some tuning issues also. I pulled my spark plugs and they were fouled pretty bad. All in all I did have a good time. I took out 1 lightning, 1 cobra, 2 GT's, 2 WRX's, 1 EVO, and 1 vette(he couldn't launch right). Oh, and I weighed in at 5240 lbs.

I'm in the process of getting some tires(Toyo Proxes seem to be the forum favorite) and can't decide on the size. Any suggestion between 265/70 R16's and 275/60 R16's. There's a 1.75" total diameter difference. Anyone know which one I would benefit from more with 4.10's. I'm pretty sure the gains, if any, would be minimal but, I'm trying to squeeze as much out of it as possible. Thanks.

Do you have weight removed from the rear end? Mine would get out of control on a 4wd launch(side to side). Then I removed the hitch, tailgate, spare and spare winch, and it launches pretty straight. I think it was lifting the front end too much, and losing traction on the front tires.

Thanks for all the props guys. I was really hoping for mid 12's but, it just hasn't happened. I'll keep trying though.

I removed the spare. I don't have electronic 4x4, I have a manual transfer case.

I am still wondering how you-or anyone is able to do this I cut 1.7x 60's and there's no way I'm breaking them loose in 4x4 on any kind of dry paving.

Gearing? Not sure, but I do get MASSIVE torque steer. That's an old post and roughly 3 engines ago! Hoping for 11's next time out. Getting ready to install a few things right now.
