Default FINALLY, TT3000 came in.

Yea, I was cutting the grass when the fed ex man pulls up. Installed it yesterday begining around 4:30 in the afternoon and I was in bed for 11:00. We just took our time, had a little fun, and took a break for pizza and beer. Install went pretty well, of course we had some challenges here and there but we managed to get it done. I had put a good bit of oil in the converter before putting it in but not nearly enough. We took it off the jack stands and cranked it up and made sure everything was working properly and added a half quart of oil. Went for a test drive and it was so loose the tach was at 3 through all of the gears and didn't lock up. At this point I was thinking ''my god what have i done?'' Stopped at the store to check the oil after it heated up and added another 1 1/2 quarts and still needed more but the store was closing. So we went to another store and it was working a lot better. Added 2 more quarts and it was perfect. It does not slip as much as the vig. did through the gears and lock up is a lot better. Doesn't seem like it will flash as hard neither, but over all i rather it and believe I might see 12.8x's again. Noticed on the way to work after shifting 3rd, rpms drop to 4500.Back in the sweet spot!!
Q: did any of you get papers or converter bolts with your new yank?

Glad you are liking it! Mine took about four quarts. It came with new bolts the first time but no papers, either time.

Mine did't come with new bolts or papers. Do I need new bolts, and what is on the papers?

Mine didn't come with papers or bolts so I put some stock bolts in. I also found the rattling noise that I thought was my exhaust rubbing on the chassis, it came out to be loose converter bolts. Oh yea, that would have messed some **** up or what? Don't know how they came loose cause we put locktite on them. I made sure to put locktite on these also.
