Hey all, add me to the slowest truck list. I finally got to run my truck today and the results are as follows:
1st run 15.67 87.47 mph
2nd run 15.81 86.22 mph
3rd run 15.82 85.87 mph
All @ 53*F

This is with the mods in sig - tstat mod. Anyway ? is, how much faster do you guys think I'll be with my future mods of: ASP, LT1 Fans, Z06 Cam +4*, and Nelson's 89/91 Tuning.

I thought it ran pretty good, but like I said it was the first time I ran it. The first run was the quickest, all with manual shifting about 5500rpm 1-2, and 5700 into third. I dropped the tailgate for the third run and I was slower, well it made no difference. Wonder why?

edit: Oh I forgot, I do have alot of weight with dynamat in all doors and back panel, and a nice and heavy custom box with a heavy sub. Need to get this thing weighed.

With the mods you listed, except my Z06 cam wasn't advanced, I ran 14.6@92mph. I pulled my subwoofers out along with the tailgate, spare and backseat.

Without the cam and electric fans I was running 15.0@89 or so.

 

Hey, I thought it ran good. That posi unit was workin' good in the burnout box and for your first time out I thought it ran good. It looked like it "chirped" second gear on that last run.(??) I still think that PCM tuning (of any kind) is gonna wake it up. I got .5 from a damn HPPIII, so if you deduct that from your best run you'd be around a 15.1 or 15.2. Hell, a little luck and maybe some practice and you'll be knockin' on the 14's. All in all I had a good time even tho I didn't beat my personal best. I think everyone was complaining about being a couple tenths slow today. Let me know when your going back, maybe we can get some of the other local boys to go. I guess I was pretty happy with my 14.68, although I thought that with the weather conditions as good as they were I would have beat my personal best of 14.57. Like I told MUDZ, being the cheap *** I am I filled my tank up on Thursday (.06 cents off!) so I was running with some extra weight in fuel, but thats the price I pay for trying to save $1.20. DUH!

 

OH, BTW, I think with the Cam, tuning, and fans you should be running around 14.60 or so. I thought BigTex said he got 34RWHP out of an 01 Z06 cam in his old 5.3.

 

Let me know when you guys head to the track again. MIR was awsome yesterday.

Definately will hardtop, I am still trying to figure out who all lives in this area. Not everyone posts there location and I don't know everyone. So far all I know is bruce02hawk, badmofo, xlr8nss, and you. I want to see if anyone of us are going to the oc cruise this year, maybe we could meet up there too. I'll pm you when we go.

So 14.6's huh? F8lpony did that with headers and a stall. Not sure if I can get there, but I hope too. Hell I want 13's but I don't want to spend the money to get there

Bruce, where is MIR? Badmofo and I were talking about going to 75/80 but I don't even know where that is. This was the first track I have been to up here.

 

My brother-in-law races an OPS car at 75-80, and I have been to Mason Dixon a time or two with him. Also, I've been to the AHDRA (all Harley drags) up there, that was a good time as well. Its a long ride though and I really don't think it is one of the better tracks considering how far away it is. You ever go any where else??
