After months and months of trying to grasp my messed up thought process i finally figured out to ditch the idea of building a lq4 and stick with the 5.3 and go boosted. This is my first time dealing with a turboed chevy v-8 motor. I need some slight direction on what im going to need to do to try to obtain around 800 hp that can be used on the street and of course tracked. I still want to sunday cruise. I will be keeping my 3/4 lowering kit with the reast of the stock suspention. I need fuel system recommendations, as well with tearing down the bottem end and trying to figure out what compression to run, pistons rods, heads, I suppose i have to swap out my cam im using now. I take it i pretty much have to start from scratch. I guess this would be a personal question, but would most of you turboed guys go the homemade route and by a full kit. The kits seem kinda pricey for what a guy gets and it seems like the homemade route would be the way to go. I just need some solid information on where to start. Im not new at building motors, im new to building a turboed motor. Thanks guys im looking forward to here what you have to say.
