Default Finally getting something done! Pacesetters installed...

First, I have to say if you have a 4/6 drop or even bags the Pacesetter headers and ORY kick major ***! I can't believe that the 3" collectors and 3" Y actually tuck up into the frame! I have pics on my buddy's camera, and we didn't have time to DL them yesterday, but the ground clearance is MUCH better than stock!

Install was a breeze! I had 3 good friends who did the majority of the work (I helped where I could ) and we had the truck on and off of the jackstands in about 3 hours.

As for sound...it's a night and day difference. The truck sounds AWESOME! No rasp at all, and it sounds nice and deep w/ the LS1 and TR224 cam. You can really hear the cam now...man does it have a nice lopey idle! The rest of the exhaust consists of stock pipe after the Y and a 3" Flowmaster 40 series muffler. I know a lot of guys prefer other mufflers, but IMO the sound is dead nuts on and sounds very deep and throaty--not at all raspy like some catless exhausts that I've heard on LS1 F-bodys. Maybe the 3" collector and pipe is helping that out?!

The truck feels like it picked up quite a bit of power throughout the RPM range. Down low feels excellent, and it pulls even harder up top. I wouldn't doubt if I picked up 30 or more RWHP. On the maiden voyage, I got on the onramp to the interstate, and rolled into it in 1st gear at about 20mph. Before the headers, I got a little tire spin that I could pedal through and run out 2nd. Well, I was feathering the throttle thinking it would hook. The truck shifted into 2nd while I was pedalling and proceeded to obliterate the tire until I let out of it. I pull into my buddy's driveway with a grin from ear to ear--the tire was so sticky from the rolling smokefest that pinestraw and rocks were sticking to it like it was a slick! 1st gear is now completely useless w/ the open rear and narrow 20" tires. 2nd isn't much help.

All in all, I'm 100% satisfied w/ the headers--from the ease of install to the sound and performance. They are really a great product, especially considering the price. I'll have some pics and sound clips up as soon as I can get my friend to DL them to his computer.

Now, I just have to get the rest of the drivetrain up to snuff and get this damn thing back to the track!

Yeah I just got Pacsetters on last week but I switched from Flows to dual in/dual out single stainless Magnaflow(5x11 22") and went with 2.5" mandrel allt he way around of course w/ no cats. I also did the fans too but I got some really good gains at all rpms! Glad you like the your sound. Im so happy mine turned out sounding great! Not raspy and not quite like some have said. I should have some sound up soon!

My buddy mentioned the Magnaflows, but I haven't heard them on a cat-less truck. Post some sound clips...I'm curious to see how they sounds compared to my Flowmaster.
