Wheatley has my 4.8 spinning to about 6400. I dont see a need to go any higher, probably bring it down with the 6.0 So the stock injectors are damn near maxed on the 6.0's?

They are once you start doing small upgrades like a cam, headers and so on. Beings they are the same for the smaller engines such as the 4.8L and 5.3L, they just don’t carry the 6.0L as far. Be glad your not dealing with an earlier model, such as a ‘99/’00, as they had even smaller injectors.

If you can’t swing a set of injectors right now, beings you’re spending a good deal on everything else, don’t worry too much though. The stock units will work with what your planning on doing, it’s just they will be working hard to do it and if you have a weaker fuel pump that isn’t quite up to par, the injector duty cycle will be even higher. It’s just one of those planning for the future type of things and if you’re not planning on going too much further, I wouldn’t worry about it, as you should be fine.

That and I'm sure Charlie will have you more than covered.

Damn, I knew the deal was too good. The seller is being shady. I ask repeatedly for a picture of the head with the valve cover removed...he says if he did, it would need a new gasket so he is not going to do it. He also said because it is going overseas, he wants me to leave feedback at the time of purchase? Sounds like this guy is trying to sell me junk.

Word. I wouldn't get new injectors for that cam.

I'd say $1600 is a good deal to buy and get it shipped from the States to Guam. I bought my 6.0 for $1250. Had to drive to Dallas to get it, got a fkn ticket on the way. So ended up costing me about the same money.

I bought my truck with 150k miles on it. Swapped in a Lq9 and have no issues with the stock fuel pump.

You shouldn't have any issues with the sensors. Unless you're having issues now. I bought a TBSS intake from a guy who picked it up from a parts yard, in New York. I'm running the map sensor that came on it. I would swap out the oil pressure sending unit before I put the engine in the truck. Only reason being is if it does go out, its a bitch to get to if its in the truck.

I'd recommend looking for an underdrive crank pulley. Won't make a huge difference in power. But IMO, every little bit helps. Hell of a lot easier to install it while the engine is on the stand.

Good luck with your build. That cam is pretty small, but will work very well with the stock converter.

Stock injectors will support bolt-ons and that's it on a 6.0. With a cam forget about it. My OEM 42 lb injectors are at 70% IDC with a mid 220s cam.

I just ordered a new set of yellow springs, new balancer bolt and water pump gaskets from GM Parts Direct. They got damn good prices. Only down fall, you have to know the part number.
