few pics of truck and motor..

the truck pics were taken about a year and half ago, the motor was dropped in today for fitment, just waiting on a few more parts. hopefully will be running in the next week or two. the a/c compressor wasnt clearing the frame and mounting brackets so we flipped the brackets and tried it that way. it moved the engine forward about 5.5 inches. after that, the oil pan was bumping the crossmember and it still would have taken some cutting to get the compressor to clear, and it would have made any type of air intake a very tight squeeze. i decided to move the motor back, and am going to go without a/c until i can afford to have some brackets made. the f-body long tube headers will fit too. looking for suggestions on suspension and lowering for optimal traction. the truck will be my daily driver, but i live 3.5 miles from work. ride quality is important, but not near as important as being able to hook. like i said, it is only a 7 mile round trip, lol.
which stance would be most beneficial, a 2/2 drop, 2/3, 2/4, etc., and which shocks would you recommend?

I'm still battling decisions on suspension, but I think mine will stay as is for now. The A/C was a concern until I recently noticed the stock A/C compressor connector broken and dangling on the harness.

i was thinking of just doing the 2/2 also, with the front spindles and rear shackles. i am just unsure of which shocks i should run. also going to use the lakewood traction bars. the guy installing my engine had my stock hood leaning up agianst something in his back yard and the wind blew it over and put some good scratches and dings in it. guess i will go ahead and have to use the fiberglass cowl hood i have been trying to sell. and i already have a fuel cell and battery box in the rear of the bed.

Great truck man
I love to see the LS retro-fits becoming more and more common...maybe someday I'll have money again, and by then GENIII swaps will be old news and I'll be able to build one with no worries

yeah, i think it is very cool to see new motors in old trucks...
i would slam it, but i would rather have good weight transfer at the track...
and i dont care that my g/f laughs at me when i say it, but, this IS gonna be race truck...LOL
