It's the intake buddy, all them fast intakes are a pain in the *** when it comes to idling and drivability ...my buddy took his lsxrt off , put oem and problem went away.

Yeah, I don't believe that's a good idea either. Not something I'd wanna try tuning anyways.

Chevrolade pretty sure I ended up with that exzacked intake manifold that your buddy sold.

AKlowrider I never needed to do the RTV around the lower intake seals the new ones were thicker then the old ones.

It's funny cause I've talked to A few members that have these and some of them say they idle fine others say they idle like crap what gives.

I've basically called and talked to Texas speed-Mike Norris motorsports-Pete vmax motorsports-Tony Mamo
And pretty much they all seem to think its the tune.

yeah, this sounds like a complete mindfu**... exact reason I've been holding off pulling the trigger on one for over a year now...
Anyone here remember user BGray and the issues he was having with his lsxrt, and issues with dealing with Comp direct? I'm not even sure if he ever found a resolve, or at least I missed the post about it...?

Is there any way to have the intake machined flat? I've been wanting to buy an LSXRT for well over a year as well here but cannot justify it if it's crap.

i really dont think the intake is leaking it sits flat on the cylinder heads i know BGRAY had problems with his not sitting flat

i know if i had to do it again i wouldve just done a NNBS/TBSS intake that was ported

he has since took the intake off the truck and put a TVS 1900 on it but even he said that his truck didnt idle the way it should.

pretty sure charlies truck is setup to run a speed density tune i know my tuner tried that and it didnt work he told me
