4.8 what kind of power do you plan on making? How fast do you want to go... Mixon has one that always posi even on the gas. But this weekend we actually split the posi in half...It had cracks all the way around it. But his truck makes good power.

Which factory unit are you refering to?

The G80 Eaton is a actually a centrifugal locker. It runs open until a predetermined variance is reached between both side's output and then the lock pin is engaged. Then once wheel speed exceeds 25 mph the pin is retracted and you have an open diff once again.

I would opt for an Eaton 8.5" LSD...they are rebuildable and allow for some adjustment for engagement pressure/sensitivity.

Default factory posi?

is it worth a crap? my dad has a friend that works at a dealership and could maybe get me a deal on 3.73s and a posi. said it would prolly be under warranty too. just wondering if i should do this or just save the money and buy an aftermarket posi.
