Default F8L's truck

I went down with Justin (F8L) to get his truck tonight. This is the first time i have seen a sts turbo kit in person and im very impressed. The kit is really clean looking and puts down some good numbers. I seen the back of his truck a few time on the way home, dam i wish i had the bottle in my truck and got a few videos of him flying by me too. Im sure he will be on here when he gets home so i will let him fill everyone in on the rest.

Thats awesome. How does it sound?? Is there a noticable lope to the cam?? Im sure that turbo sounds sick. With the b.s. Im dealing with Im beginning to believe that the filter placement of that kit would be pretty optimal. Keep us posted

The kit is awesome!

I'm sure 1/4mile times will be really good since the power band is like from 4.2k-6.5k Talk about the right cam for the job Hehehe

I had a bit of an accident with some spilled oil when i tried to refill it on the way home and wont be getting any truack #s for the next week or 2.

I was careless when I was pouring oil in the truck at a filling station on the way home and aparently some got on the paper/fiberglass matieral on the firewall and about 15miles from home my engine caught on fire. I pulled over and got it put out but not after about 2min of bruning back there behind the intake manifold.

I have some 3rd degree burns on my hands from reaching into the fire to pull out the burning material. I ended up in saggin shorts and no shirt (it caught on fire when i got trapped under the hood) on the side of this country road for about an hour.

Damages are minor but will need to take it back to the shop and have some wire splicing done. Rick is gonna take care of me on it even though it's my bumb *** fault for being clumsy.

But the turbo part worked great and was fun as hell for the few hours I got to drive it!!!

Fire is what killed my last truck. I think the turbo oil house busted and hit the turbo exhaust housing (about 1000 degrees at the time). I didn't have a fire extinguisher and it burned to the ground in less than 10 mins. Glad you got to save yours and I hope everyone carries a fire extinguisher b/c it can happen to anyone.

Sorry to hear about the accident. I hope your hands will be okay. Just a tiny burn hurt like hell, I can imagine your in some serious pain. Unfortunately when you get that excited about something mistakes happen.

Here's to a quick recovery man! Sorry about your injuries, but it's a small price to pay to keep the truck. I'm just glad nothing more serious happened.
