I have done a ton of searching on this and hunting everywhere on the net... .your best bet is going to be to build your own out of some steel strap and put it in... this will be one of my winter mods for sure once I get back around a welder.

 

I guess it should go around the back driveshaft, right?

 

I would think so. Someone needs to manufacture this product.

 

I am going to be making one for mine this winter as well.

 

I think NHRA says it has to be within 6" of the front u-joints, I'll have to look in the rulebook again

 

I am really interested on this info aswell, I am suppose to meet a fabricator this weekend so he can check it out, I hear alot of mix reviews... MOST people say you only need it on the rear driveshaft but then again alot say that in needs it on both?? Im gonna be on the safe side and go on both, thats one thing that really scares me...

 

I was plannin on puttin one on the front by the yoke out of the trans.. and one on the rear.. Not sure.

Basically ya dont want it diggin in the Asphalt???

 

the rule was made so if you break a ds it won't drop down and potentially flip your vehicle, which can only happen if it breaks in front, if it breaks by the rear end no biggy(except for having to buy a new one)
