Default exhaust tip help lower rasp?

my set up is full single 3" exhaust all the way to the back with a slp resonator welded in.., the rasp at certain RPM was really bad but other than it sounded loud..... well I've had a 4"tip sitting in the garage for a while so i decided to put it on today, so i went to a exhaust shop and had them welded it in.... for some reason it sounds a whole lot diferent, i know atleast 50% of the rasp went away if not more, the loudness got just a little quiter and has a more deep rumble to it now.... really enjoying the sound and still no drone!!!

i just figured to share this info... since i know alot of people ask about it... this is my first time comparing sound with a tip, so does this sound about right for other people?

You know I had a tip on previously and when I took it off I noticed I picked up rasp, especially after the cam swap. I plan on going with a magnaflow and a 3.5 inch tip.

Yep; it'll kill some of the rasp due to changing the acoustics of the exhaust somewhat. My tips lessened my rasp when I was running stock manifolds and a 2.25" ORY; then I put on lt's and a 3" ORY and killed it completely.
