ok i have a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500, right now it only has a 4.8L, but its looking like in the future its going to have the lq4 or lq9 once someone explains the difference and what the difference will be putting one or the other in the truck, so i want to know what a good set up for an exhaust system would be?

ahhh exhaust...the world seems to be never ending with options, alot go with the nice ss catbacks downfalls are the cost. Some go with just welding in a muffler, not bad but you dont see any great performance gains just sound. It's your call the possibilities are endless.

 

Take your pick on the exhaust. The systems will fit any style ls engine you put in the truck. Diff between the lq4-9 are the 4 has lower comp, a bit weaker rods, untill 05 then all the lq motors got the new ls2 internals, are the same other then the 9 still having more compression. make sure you get a 01 or later 6.0, the pre 01 had iron heads and a longer crank, are more of a PIA to make work...
