Default exhaust set-up questions...

ok, heres the deal. I am planning on getting Pacesetter LT headers. I however for one, have to keep it emissions legal meaning i need cats. My question is it ok to have it reduced to 2.5" after the cat as apposed to reducing it by the header collector. My plan is to get 3" dynatech power cats and slip them on the header collectors and reduce it to 2.5" after the cats. I think it would be easier to accomplish since there won't be a whole lot of room after the header colletors. Also i won't have to deal with welding a 3-bolt reducer flange on the header collector. Also the power cats are only 11.5" long, can be shortened a lil i f i need to. The reducers i have in mind are only 2" in length. Let me know what u think.

I would say after the cats would be fine. Why not run the 3" all the way back though (unless you are doing duals).

Reducing after the catalytic converters will work fine.
