Maybe I should be more specific...

Upgrading the exhaust without upgrading the TB is not a dumb idea, freeing up the exhaust will make power regardless if the TB is a restriction or not. There is not much improvement to be had with the current 87mm throttle bodies by moving to a 90 or 102mm.

Oh yeah, definately need to open up the exhaust to see any gains from a larger throttle body. Gotta let that animal breathe!

Speaking of freed up exhaust - What is your final verdict on the 4" exhaust?

It is loud.

Fitting the exhaust was tight, but it's on there, and it is working pretty well. When funds allow, I'm going to try a MBRP muffler that they claim kills drone. Overall, I'm glad I did it.

Headers are not little stuff. I honestly think you'll be amazed how much of a difference it makes on your truck. You will notice a slight dip in boost after the headers are put on, so a smaller pulley will be in order, but once you get that sorted out I think you could see 50 HP from that swap alone with NO negative effects on your drivability or reliability. The headers simply allow more air out, meaning there is more space for the fresh air to come in.

Also, the 6.2 exhaust is about 3.5"... guess what an 87mm TB is???

Ask Roger (AKlowriderZ71) what he gained from basically upgrading his intake tube and TB to the same size as yours, adding the same headers youre looking into, and running a smaller pulley to bring boost back up. Impressive ****.
