Default exhaust question

I think I've asked before but now I have pacesetter lt's, 3" o/r y-pipe going into a single 3" borla xr-1 and a single pipe exiting in the stock location. On all my previous trucks and cars I always ran lt's,no cats,x-pipe and dual dynomax ultra-flos. I love that sound. Wanting to do this truck like thAT BUT SCARED i'LL LOSE LOW END TORQUE. What do you guys think? What if I use all 2.5" from the headers back? MY truck runs really strong now and don't want to lose the performance but I am ready for a sound change.
Thanks.

on a 5.3, dual 2.5" is more than plenty for just a bolt-on engine. for single - 3" is pretty good. dropping to single 2.5" would be smaller than stock, so that won't help you at all - especially with headers

I think that you'd lose some scavenging and low end with dual 3" on a mild 5.3...

+1. Anything bigger on a dual application and you'll be losing low-end like crazy on a 5.3

personally, i'd only do dual 3" on a full-bolt-on 6.0 (in a truck, anyway)

i'm plannin on doing duals when i get my LT headers.
if i stay N/A, i'm doing 2.25" & if i get the blower, i'll do 2.5"

Next question. What if I leave it with the pacesetter lt's,o/r x-pipe, and keep the single 3" pipe back and across the axle with an f-body style muffler in the rear. Would this hurt or help low end power or keep it the same? Also been thinking bout doing it like this with two camaro ss style tips under license plate. Also, what's ya'll's experience with running no tailpipe and leaving it under the truck? Does cutting off the 3" single tailpipe gonna hurt or help or at the least keep performance the same? It sounds good now but you always want something different.

open it up go X pipe with another borla, what you'll loose on bottom (if any) you'll gain on top

those NNBS 5.3s can use some breathing room

running a camaro muffler means no spare tire for you. same with the center tips.
i ran with no tail pipes for 3.5 years & now that i have them again, i like it better. drones less, quieter in-cab, feels a little stronger in the low rpms.
