Exhaust question
#2
Since the Magnaflow has a greater flow rate than the Flowmaster I would say no. I am about to do a similar thing on my truck. Swapping out the FM 70 for a higher flowing Hooker. I expect it to be a wash or worse on the low end. I'll post my seat-of-the-pants results when I get it put on. Hopefully this weekend.

It all depends on what you want to do, if you still have your cats I really don't think you will loose much low end. take them off and you probably will. Magnaflow does outflow flowmaster but you can make it up with tuning for a more open exhaust if you went to the magnaflow, mufflers are all the same to me until you get into real restrictive like stock or high hp engines that it really makes a difference. Also the better flow might hurt a litle in the bottom but will make it up in the top becasue it can breath alot better.JMO

My magnaflow sounds great. It is quite with a nice rumble to it, but when I mash the pedal it roars nicely. Ive had Flows on other cars and there is too much resonance and I really dont like the sound too much. At cruising it isnt near as loud as my inline FP
. They sound just right IMO. That may change when I get the LT's put on and get rid of the cats.
