Default Exhaust Help

I have a '67 Bronco that I swapped in a '02 5.3L. I have a 3" y-pipe going into a Flowmaster 40 exiting in a single 3". I am running tubular exhaust manifolds off of a '00 Camaro SS & have no cats. The exhaust exits just behind the passenger door in front of the rear tire. I love the sound of the exhaust, but especially with the doors off it is pretty much deafening. I want to switch to another muffler that won't kill my hearing but don't want to hurt torque or performance. The exhaust is practically new & I love the routing so I want to be able to drop the exhaust & replace the muffler with no modifications to the pipe. Room is a big issue as I cannot fit anything in that space bigger than what I have currently. I was thinking maybe a Gibson muffler, anybody have any good suggestions? Below is a pic so you get the idea of what I am working with.
