Some day I'd like to get V-bands on my y-pipe, so that's what I voted for...I believe that a few guys here have used them with good results.

I have just a regular old 3 bolt flange on each side of my setup. No leaks for me and it's easy to remove

we used 3 bolt flanges with copper gaskets on my buddies truck and its alot cheaper or you could go true duel and not worry about a y pipe.

I have had great luck with ball flanges and 3 bolt flanges work great too IF your y pipe is a slip fit over the collector (about 1" overlap works). I am running this setup on my truck and my friends without any problems so far.

A true dual would still cross under the tranny though so the pipes would still be in the way and have to be removed.

I use band (tension) clamps on mine and they work well with no leaks.

but, you wouldnt have to worry about bolting a y pipe together because there wouldnt be a y now would there?
