Default exhaust dumps?

i was looking into getting an exhaust dump with an electric cutout and i've read different things about running open exhaust. i never had any problems with my 67 firebird running open but i've heard you can float a valve or damage your engine if you give it too much gas while running open. any info would be nice.

The myths of torque loss and burnt valves are just that. Myths! Just get the QTP electric cutout and put it right before the muffler and you are good to go.

I have heard of a few people having leaks with their QTP cutouts. I've heard a lot of good things about DMH cutouts.

QTP is by far the best. I know several guys with them on their LS1 f-bodies around where I live. Although, the manual cutouts aren't that bad.
