Default Which exhaust

Which exhaust setup should i run 2 2.5in duals from headers or should i run 2.5 from headers to 3in y? I always hear the 3in flows better than 2 2.5in pipes. Is this true?
Thanks,
Derek

1-3" will not flow as good as 2-2.5" but you may not need that much flow anyway. if I'm not mistaken, single 3" is good to about 500HP. Personally I have single 3" on mine, and intend to keep it that way. But thats just my opinion. when and if I ever need duals, then Ill get em.

I have true dual 3".. I know its overkill for a n/a motor but in the future I will be supercharging it... this is all just in prep for that.
