Default Get It!

Free! I priced a set of the pipes with the cats at the dealer and they were $1300.00. After that sticker shock I didn't bother to price the rest of the system.
Is it the full system or just the muffler?
See my reply post to above "SS Muffler".

Get you hands on it for free.

Doesn't the 5.3 Y pipe before the muffler? I know my VHO (which should have the same exhaust as the SS...correct me if I'm wrong) has dual inlets and dual outlets and Y pipes after the muffler.

I was told by my muffler guy that before the muffler the pipe is 2.5" in diameter, and afterwards it is 3".

I guess you would be gaining some with an SS exhaust system, but in my estimate, it wouldn't be much.

Maybe someone with more knowledge can offer some better insight to this...

Default The SS Muffler Flows 160+ CFM More

A Corsa engineer told me the SS muffler flows 160+ CFM more. They have flow tested many of GM's exhaust systems.

See more in my reply to post "SS truck's muffler?"

thanks for the info. I was really just curious because my brother just ordered the dynatech system and a magnaflow for his SS and i was just wondering if the stock system would make a little more power on the 5.3.

Get it! You won't be disappointed. The system flow good, with no interior resonance. It is quiet until you put your foot in it and has a good sound at wot. You should keep your low end torque as well with it.

I like the way the SS sounds. It sounds aggressive at WOT
