Default Evil win is suffering from lack of speed

Hey all I am having some trouble in the horsepower Race. My poor 4.8 litre is just begging to be cut loose but there are so many things that i have done that seem ineffective. I added a Caspers Electronics Throttle posisition Sensor Recalibration Module and a simple exhaust cutout that is always open. It sounds mean and has great part throttle response but i seem to have lost a lot of top end. And my Take off has suffered a lot from just age and mileage. I have like 136,000 miles on this rig and have done some minor mods and until recently The twin ran great i have already put in a new tranny and have done all of the propper maintenence except for spark plugs which i intend on replacing this Friday. I need all the advice i can get because this is getting redicilous. I'm tired of losing just about any race that i enter into. I'm also building a custom intake for this Rig and if my calculations are correct it will flow as good as an AEM Bruteforce intake. thanks for the help

Default Money well spent

i would do the 6.0 swap but i'm considering dropping the crank and rods and putting in a 5.3 litre crank and rods. And a New cam and valvetrain. If that works out iw will quite the wild combination.

If you are going to go threw all that trouble to swap crank an rods your best bet is to just put a 6.0 in the thing. IT will probably be less for the 6.0 then doing that with the 4.8. Have you ever thought puttin a blower or turbo on the 4.8. It is endless, is all in what you want and have to spend. I am going to see how far I can push my 4.8 there are a few that is turning good times, and with the right setup you could get into the low 12's on a stocker.

For less than $2K you could have a 300+rwhp 6L in there. Save a few more bucks and then get a turbo.
