Default everyone with 2001 6.0 or knowledge

Will an 01 LQ4 bolt up to my 4l60e? I have gotten mixed ideas whether it was 2001 or 2002 where the LQ4's mated with the 60e's. Please tell.

EDIT*** And if it does NOT fit, is there anything I can do within reason to get it to?

just the 99-00 dont fit but a good indicator is the heads. if they are iron then it is an older motor and if they are aluminum then it is a newer motor and should fit. that is unless someone swaped the heads on ya. if you can look at the motor you can just look at the crank flange and see if it is flush or if it sticks out a ways, like 3/8" or so.

If you have a 99-00 motor that's going into an 02 how do you make it fit. If there's a flange that's sticking out, can you grind it off, or is there a different fly wheel?
