Default Evap?

Ok heres the story. I have a evap malfunction code.P0440. I have had this code for months. Now, I replaced the purge valve, and that was not the problem. I have searched many many times for a leak and could not find one. Now before I go and take this thing to the dealer to be put on a smoke machine is there any way to deleate the evap system from the truck? I do not need it to pass inspection, not because of new york but because of my inspector if you know what I mean. Now I hate to take it in for diognostics because of the cost. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

Ps It is not stored in the pcm cause I have deleated it many times.
