i doubt it, especially in my case. with 222 and 224 duration and only .333 and .334 lobe lift, it is a gentle cam. my valve open pressure was 420 lbs. these are street cam numbers, biased toward quietness and longevity. nascar engines run 500-600 open pressure, and they open the valves like the front door. i am just opening a window in comparison. and to top that all off, they are using lifters that rub, not roll, on the cam. so i'm sure that this cam was well inside the boundary of safe spring pressure.

you make a good point, but i think you're thinking in the drag race cam kind of numbers.
