Default enough backpressure??? RADIX

Finished up 6.0l swap thinking about my next mod.. Most likely will be headers. Thinking about just doing some shorty's with cutouts in place of the CATS. Have heard these motors need some back pressure but with the radix what do you guy's think? Will there be enough with the cutouts open? or will this just hurt my performance?

With a RADIX you will probably want your exhaust to flow better rather than having more backpressure. I don't have FI so I couldn't tell you but that would be my opinion. Maybe someone will chime in and help out a little more.

when you run the cutouts you're probably going to have to drive it for a few miles. occasionally some have a problem with running lean if you just open them and make passes.

I did not know that thanks. Kinda figured the PCM would have to adapt to them.

i drove mine with open headers on it to the muffler shop and it barely wanted to run for a little bit but then it started running good. it felt real good with open headers and sounded awesome. i will be putting cut outs on mine for sure

Say you did want to open them at a stop light just for a quick run... could you tune for that lean condition with the tow/haul button? just an idea

I think it is tow/haul *** because the shift points and maybe even the shift firmness are more for racing and not everyday driving. I am pretty sure that fogle is right though and you cannot change anything else.

once you go forced induction backpressure doesnt matter. your forcing air into the motor so the faster you get it out, the faster in comes in. Its different with N\A vehicles.
