Ever since I purchased my SS, I've been thinking about the "other" combo I could have had for the same amount of money. There was a RCSB 4.8 4x4 5 speed on the lot, brand spankin new 2005, for $17K after all GM card bonuses and rebates were applied. That would have left me $1,000 for suspension, and $1500 for rims/tires, and about 7 grand for the engine work. I like my extended cab SS, but every once in a while, I wonder what it *could* have been like...

I wish I would have gone that route from the get go. I'd probably have a better setup and nicer looking truck in the long run but just not an extended cab.
