Default Which engine swap?

So i found guy that can hook me up with cheap junk yard engines. The 5.3 in my 2000 Silverado isn't fast enough anymore. I'm looking for a newer- more powerfull engine to swap in. I already have a 4l80e and efi live tune on the list. Currently truck has e-fans, intake, TSP headers and a tune. I work in a custom fabrication shop so turbos are in my future. Suggestions for swap?

just boost the 5.3 since you are going to add a turbo anyways....

I was tempted to do it on my truck...but turbo lag doesn't agree with less cubes. lol

I've pondered the 4.8/6.0 combo before. I'm looking into a 6.2 or a LS2.

If he can get you an LS3 that would be a good choice.
