Default Engine Swap

Guys I started my engine swap and cannot get the collector bolts off. What can I do I did not want to cut them because I was planning on using the stock manifolds. Headers are just not in the cards right now. Any Ideas? I have not gone far enough to round the bolts off they are still perfect. I have tried map gas and soaking but no luck and unfortunaley I do not have access to air tools.

you could cut them off, then before you reinstall them have studs welded in, or just use nuts and bolts.

Spray penetrant lubricant on them and let it soak in for at least 30 minutes. Then get a big breaker bar and let leverage be your friend.

lots and lots of pb blaster with a 6 point socket, an extension, and a big *** breaker bar. Also, if you can, heat the nuts up

get a 6 point impact socket. you'll break the ratchet or the studs off before you break the socket.

You're better off getting the engine hot, and spraying the center of the nuts to cool off. Get long break over bar or a pipe, or a fat wrench, and some gloves.
