Default Engine Surge

I am having a small problem. Ever since I reprogrammed my computer with the VHP tuner my truck does not like being cold. When I start it and try to run it with the engine cold it will surge pretty badly. I will press the throttle and nothing happens and then I get a surge which makes the truck lurch. It will even do this when the truck has been in the garage and kept right at 70°. After rolling down the road a ways it will stop doing it. Or if I just stand on the throttle it will warm up fast and pretty much eliminates the problem. It makes it hard for me to idle out of the parking lot here at work. Also noticed I will hit the rev limiter on the 1-2 shift if the tranny is not having much temp on it and I go wot. Any ideas?
